Hi, everyone!
Today we played with cardboard boxes. In a room full of toys and materials, cardboard boxes captured the attention of almost every child in the class in one way or another.We started by stacking all of the boxes up high, then the kids took turns knocking them down and re-stacking them. After the fun of that wore off, everyone started climbing inside of the boxes. They loved taking turns to play peek-a-boo:)
Then, they started standing on top of them. Some of the kids found out the hard way that not all boxes are strong enough to support a person. Many of the boxes now look a little worse for wear, but, the class had a great morning using gross motor skills while playing with the simplest of cardboard boxes!
