From Collin's Class:
We have been as busy as ever in our classroom! We have been doing a
lot of painting: at the tabletop easel, bubble painting and finger
painting with pudding. Now that is a delight for all the senses! I
wasn't sure Colin was ever going to get any pudding actually on his
paper, but it must have tasted awfully good (blue was his favorite
color). The rest of the children were not as eager to taste the
"paint" until they smelled the vanilla scent. I found this quite
amusing, since our usual tempera paint nearly always goes straight
into their mouths ... hmmm.
We splashed with the fish, turtles and whales in the water in our
Sensory Table, filled and poured cups and tried to catch all the water
that Ms. Mana and Ms. Anila were pouring from way up high.
We also enjoyed another Lion Hunt this morning. The children followed
the trail of paw prints through the halls, collecting and counting
them as we went along. Soon they came to a stop, we looked all around
... under tables, around the soda machine, behind a plant, and finally
Colin and Trae spotted that silly lion up high on top of a coat rack.
It is so much fun when we find an activity that the children love to
repeat again and again. It allows Mana and I to incorporate many
different concepts and skills for the children to practice.
A new friend joined our class last week. We welcomed Isabella to our
crew. We learned that Isabella loves to build with blocks and dig in
the sand on the playground.
