Fwd: pics 7.2

From Mrs. Candy's class:

The animal masks we printed off are so neat! The children have a lot
of fun wearing them and making animal noises to "scare" the teachers.
Those growls and roars are so LOUD! I taped a couple of the masks to
the playground door this morning for the children to peek through.
What a funny surprise for Miss Ashlyn's class who were playing
outside!

We used stamps and ink pads to make designs on paper this morning. The
children really enjoy the alphabet stamps, trying to name each letter
as they stamp. They are beginning to recognize and repeat each letter
in their names as we point them out.

Ms. Mana brought in the paper from our last outside painting
experience. We ran our fingers over the thick paint that had dried. We
could see and feel where the paint had dripped and puddled. Some of it
was smooth and some bumpy. We talked about how we used our fingers and
toes to make the lines in the paint, and our tummies and knees to make
the other shapes. We like to reflect on previous activities, recalling
earlier conversations we had while playing and extending the
experience to incorporate something new. After talking about how we
created the painting, we matched toy animal and people feet to the
paint designs and pretended they were making tracks. The children soon
began marching and stomping on the paper to make noises, rolled across
it and wrapped themselves up like presents!

Have a great afternoon,
Candy
