From Colin's Class:
We been having lots of fun in our classroom. We have enjoyed squeezing glue onto paper and adding foam shapes. Some of the children stacked many layers of glue and shapes to build towers on their paper. Using our new toy vacuum is always a favorite activity ... if only pushing a vacuum remained such fun as they get older. Miss Rachel brought us some neat fingertip brushes to paint with. The children like to stick them onto the ends of their fingers and dip them into the tempera or watercolors. It is a fun way to "fingerpaint" with a new texture as the end result.
Friday we celebrated Thomas' birthday! He giggled and smiled SO BIG when we sang "Happy Birthday" while he blew out his candles.
Thank you to Prescott's mom for sending pictures of their trip to the zoo. We have been using the pictures in matching games and sitting spots at circle time. We like to name the animals and make each of their sounds ... (I am stumped, anyone know what sound a giraffe makes?)
Have a great afternoon,
Candy
