Fwd: picture collages

From Colin's School:

---------------------------------------------------

This morning we had an Easter Egg Hunt in our classroom. The children all had fun searching around the room to find the hidden eggs. We brought them back to our Circle Time to crack them open. What a tasty surprise to find animal crackers hidden inside! We will continue this activity throughout the week. It is always interesting to see the clever hiding places the kids come up with when it their turn to hide the eggs.

We have also been coloring with crayons and building with various types of blocks. Trae really likes the magnetic blocks we have on the table this week. Tayten has been enjoying the wooden shape sorter blocks.

This month we have been doing a lot with glue. Most recently we provided the children with balloons, glue and bits of string to explore. Many of the children are not interested in getting their hands quite so messy (Madeline just laughs when we suggest she give it a try). The string art is a work in progress that we will continue to come back to to add more and more.

The children also have shown an interest in puppets. We retold the story of the Three Bears with puppets which was a big hit. Hearing the teachers make all the different voices is always good for a giggle. Listening to the kids copy those voices is even better!

Have a great afternoon,
Candy
