About Colin

Colin is 17 months old and working hard on language. He already know signs for milk, please, more, thanks you, eat, and sit. He is starting to talk too. He only uses one syllable, but we know what he means...

"Mama"=  Mommy, milk, and sometimes daddy
"Baba"- Banana
"Bebe"- Strawberry
"Caca"-Cracker
"BuhBuh"-Brother

He can also make many animal sounds...

"Kaka"=duck
"EEEEEE" (high pitched)= monkey
"Mmmmmm"=cow
"Hahahaha" (panting)= dog

Colin's favorite thing to eat is strawberries.

Colin has a stuffed doggie that he sleeps with and takes with him everywhere. He also has an Elmo doll that stays in his crib.

Colin started daycare at Discovery Place. He is in Ms. Candy's class. He cried the first few times we took him. Now he gets super excited when we walk in the room and even tries to open the door himself.

Colin loves to climb on anything. He is very good at climbing. He can climb up stairs, but still needs help coming down. We have to keep a very close eye because he will climb on just about anything.

Colin is in the 9th percentile for weight (which is up from 6%)/ This means he is small, but this is no problem for him. He has a huge appetite so we aren't worried at all. He is developing a lot like his big brother. Small body, big brains.

Colin is doing very well developmentally  We are taking him to the doctor in a few weeks to see if his ear infections have caused any problems with hearing. Colin has gotten many viruses throughout his life. He just seems to be prone to catching anything and everything. We just went through a second round of RSV. He has been getting many ear infections as a result.

Colin loves to smile and make people laugh. He has most of his teeth except a few on the bottom. This makes his smile super cute. He loves to spin with daddy. He also loves to read books. If there is an adult sitting on the floor he will grab a book and sit in their lap. He doesn't even wait to be asked, he just does it. Colin doesn't really enjoy tv. He will watch a few  minutes with Isaac before he takes off for his next adventure.
