7 Months Old!

Isaac is 7 months old.

Sleep:
Isaac falls asleep at 8:00 every night. Mom is at work on weeknights so Dad usually puts Isaac to bed. Dad will feed Isaac a bottle around 7:30 and Isaac will fall asleep by 8:00. He is very good about going right to sleep after he has his milk. Isaac wakes up once at night usually between 3am and 5am. Mom and dad have developed a routine for when he wakes up. Mom will get Isaac out of bed and take him to her room to breastfeed. Dad will take Isaac back to his room when he is done feeding and change his diaper. Isaac falls right to sleep. Isaac wakes up around 8am. Sometimes he will fall back to sleep with mommy in her bed so she can get extra sleep.

Eating:
Isaac's favorite foods - Sweet Potato, Avocado, Bananas, Banana flavored Yogurt, and Eggs

Other foods Isaac eats - Applesauce, Peas, Green Beans, Chicken (mashed), Broccoli, Brown rice, Oatmeal, Carrots, Zucchini, Yellow squash, Butternut squash

Size:
Isaac is 25 inches long and weighs 17 pounds. He is still small compared to others children his age, but he is growing at a good rate.

Development:
Isaac can sit without support. He can stand as long as someone holds his hands. He does not like to be on his tummy. He will roll over immediately if he is put on his tummy. He can grab things with his hands. He enjoys feeding himself. We put small pieces of food on his tray so he can practice feeding himself. He does not like to use a sippy cup. He prefers to drink out of an adult cup. He needs quite a bit of help with this, but is getting the hang of it. Isaac likes to talk. He makes noises all throughout the day. He makes many vowel and consonant sounds. He loves his dog Lucy. He has learned that she will lick his hand if he has food on it. We have to watch him closely because he will try to feed Lucy any chance he gets.
